Your tee shot provides a great view toward a formation on the horizon called twin sisters. Aim for the cleavage. The prevailing SE wind and the shape of the fairway will carry your ball back toward the middle. It is 350 to the fairway bunker on the right. If you are going to miss, miss right, as left is dead most of the time. The hole does not play as long as the yardage. (Down valley) Before you leave the tee, take note of the second green on your left. It’s impossible to judge the depth of that pin from the next fairway.

Since your second shot is downhill, down valley, and probably downwind, select your club carefully. Even the best struck wedge will still go forward when it lands. A spine runs up the middle of the green. If the pin is on the left, try to land short and toward the middle of the green. The shot will run out 15-25 feet. If the pin is on the right, dial your yardage back and try to land about 10-15 feet short.

Any putt towards the back of the green is down valley and will be a little faster than you think, even though it appears to be going uphill. The toughest putts to judge are those going from the back left to the right front, towards the spine. It is very difficult to hit these hard enough as they are up valley.
