Don’t be intimidated by this hole. It is not as difficult as it appears. There is more room right than you can see from the tee. A perfect tee shot is down the right edge with a little draw. The slope of the fairway will bring it back to the center and the second is easier from the right side than the left. Take a good look at hole 16 green on your left.
Take a drive up to look at the second landing area. I don’t recommend trying to hit this green in two unless you have 200 yards or less and can bring it in high and soft. There are two layup options: 1. Hit into the middle of the elevated flat area, which is quite generous, but might look intimidating. This will leave about 100 to 120 yards. 2. Hit just short of the green and chip to the pin. If you are 230 to 280 out, take 50 off and shoot toward the tree on the right corner of the green. The ball will release down the hill and leave you a reasonable chip to a fairly complex green.
Most of the green runs left to right. The only exception is the front pin.
