From the sixth tee, you are at the highest point on the golf course and have a spectacular and distant view across the Hill Country. The tee shot should be played down the left side. The further you hit it, the more right you will need to go. The green sprinkler box is a good target. A creek runs down the right side and will snare a weak fade or push. The single tree in the left rough is 320 yards.

Position A is tight to the left rough line. This gives you the best angle of approach for most second shots. Just like hole one, this is downhill, down valley and usually downwind, so be careful and know the ball will release. Attacking the right pin is not advisable unless you have a wedge or less in your hand. With a right pin, an approach to the middle leaves you a downhill putt that is manageable. Short left is the best miss. Be careful with a back middle pin. It is very easy to go long here and that makes for a difficult recovery. You can be aggressive with a middle or front pin.

Valley effect will cause putts from front to back to be a little faster than you might read. A quick putt is from middle of green to right pin.
